Many of us are always dreaming of taking our boats (and ourselves) on something a bit longer than we have done before, be it up to Maine, over to Nova Scotia, or down to Bermuda. In this seminar, Cooper will address how to think about pushing yourselves to go further and cover the areas needing addressed for a longer passage.

"Organized Cruises" Seminar
Have you ever considered joining an organized cruise on a sail to longer distance locations such as Down East Maine or Nova Scotia? What would motivate you in getting out of your comfort zone to join an extended club cruise or a commercial flotilla to distant ports?
Please join us in May as a panel of cruise organizers leads a talk and discussion on “all things” relevant to organized cruises. The panel, consisting of representatives from various cruising organizations, represents a wealth of experience orchestrating and leading organized cruises up and down the Northeast coast and to Maritime Canada. They’ll share their collective knowledge in talking about the current cruising scene, what’s involved in joining one, what’s involved in organizing one, the costs associated with such an adventure, and why it makes sense, when sailing to distant ports having true navigational challenges, to cruise with others who have been there.
The seminar will take place on Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 beginning at 7 PM in the Minehan Room at the Marriott Residence Inn on Tudor Wharf, Charlestown.
Cost is $10 for non-members and no cost for members. Space is limited so we recommend that you sign up soon.
Please email Ron at ronpski@rcn.com to sign up for this event.
